How We Help

Good health is shaped outside the consulting room too. We work with communities and partner organisations to make screening, education and practical support easier to access.

Vision Outreach
Helping people see more clearly.
Rugare Medical's vision preservation initiative was developed to provide practical support to people living with vision difficulties.
In collaboration with Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce Raj Modi, the programme distributed nearly 3,000 pairs of reading glasses.

The programme provided reading glasses to seniors, students and workers who needed vision support.
Reading-glass support continues through Rugare Medical wellness expos across Bulawayo and Matabeleland, delivered in partnership with local opticians.
Drug and Substance Abuse Awareness
Supporting healthier choices for young people.
Rugare Medical’s involvement in national anti-drug and substance-abuse campaigns and wider public-health awareness work.
The focus is practical: helping people understand preventable health risks, encouraging early action and making reliable health information easier to access.
Wellness Expo
Three editions. One clear purpose.
Each Wellness Expo brings free consultations, health screening and practical health information into the community, with an emphasis on prevention and early action.

The third edition became the largest Rugare Medical Wellness Expo to date.
Rural Healthcare Outreach
Taking healthcare into communities.
Rugare Medical participates as a healthcare partner at the annual Imiklomelo kaDakamela Cultural Festival in Nkayi, Matabeleland North.
2025 Edition
4 to 5 April 2025
Healthcare services included free medical consultations, blood pressure testing, blood sugar testing, HIV counselling, BMI assessments and wellness education.
2026 Edition
3 to 6 April 2026
Rugare Medical continued its healthcare support and expanded the programme to include physiotherapy and community healthcare awareness.
Across the documented 2025 and 2026 editions, Rugare Medical reports reaching more than 6,000 people.
Mental Health Advocacy
Making mental wellbeing part of the conversation.
Rugare Medical recognises mental wellbeing as an important part of overall health.
Its community programmes include public education, awareness activities and support aimed at reducing stigma around mental health challenges.
The aim is to make mental wellbeing part of ordinary health conversations and help people understand when to seek support.
Supporting Vulnerable Children

Rugare Medical maintains an ongoing relationship with Vulindlela Children's Home.
Rugare Medical's support includes institutional resources, material assistance and access to specialised paediatric medical care.
Youth Empowerment

Rugare Medical invests in employment opportunities and digital upskilling pathways intended to help young people build practical experience and participate in the local economy.
The community programme also supports women’s empowerment through initiatives focused on greater economic participation and financial security.
